Competition: what does EPC stand for? Graphic of an energy symbol and question marks.

The Student Switch Off Week of Action is your chance to get more involved with Student Switch Off and sustainable action. Enter our competition below for your chance to win a £10 voucher for either The Kind Store (zero-waste and sustainable shopping), National Book Tokens or Etsy (if you win, you get to pick your prize!).

Today’s competition is about home energy efficiency – enter by midnight Sunday 16th May for your chance to win!
When moving out of student accommodation and looking to rent a property it is really important to make sure you choose the most efficient property you can. Efficient homes are warmer in the winter and cheaper to heat, which helps you save money, reduce the chance of damp and be more comfortable. Did you know that all privately rented accommodation will have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which rates the home’s efficiency and that the landlord is legally obliged to let you see?
Find out more about EPCs, including how to view a properties EPC online.
