2019/20 Leaderboard

Updated: May 2020

Thank you to everyone for taking part in Student Switch Off this year. We ended the competition in May and are pleased to announce that Stephen Bragg Hall came out as our overall winners, ranking top for student engagement! Congratulations to Stephen Bragg Hall.

In Terms 1 & 2, residents took direct action to live more sustainably, with students pledging to support the campaign; taking actions to save energy, reduce waste, recycle more and save water.

In light of COVID-19 and students moving out early, and as recognition for the end of the campaign at a national level, we are making a donation to the charity Mind. This was decided as we now won’t be able to travel to join celebrations and run the prize give-aways as intended, but we still wanted to recognise the efforts made by students over the year. A charitable donation was suggested by students and with their feedback Mind was chosen for their current work providing extra advice and support for key workers, whilst continuing to support anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Find out more about Mind’s COVID-19 response work here.

Thank you to everyone that got involved. We know a lot of you are no longer living in the halls, but we hope you are proud of what you have achieved, and take these actions forward wherever you live next year.
